Flow Into Ease

An experience of ease workshop with maRia Probst

Together we create an experience of ease by reconnecting with the potent resources a free-flowing breath has to offer. Listening to the language of the body, its expressions in movement, you can use your available potential to regain childlike ease in your daily activities and beyond.

We slow down while allowing our bodies to open and expand like a landscape. The willingness to interact with momentum, gravity, centrifugal and other forces create lightness in movement. We support each other with appropriate touch, studying biomechanical connections within ourselves in an embodied way – for example how to allow ourselves to fold deeply in our hip valleys as a base for effortless lifting of the leg. We learn about how fascia works and support it with imagination and joyful, dynamic movement. The shape, weight and gliding ability of our organs enable us to swing effortlessly through space. Within our bodily journey we draw from several somatic movement practices such as Trager – Mentastics, Qi Gong, Body Mind Centering, Skinner Releasing and others.

Duration: Approximately 100 minutes daily

SHARED MOMENTS:

Fun(gi) field trips

Look with us for mushrooms and discover the wildlife in the Umbrian fungi paradise! Christian will share his profound ecological knowledge about the world of mushrooms with us. Mushroom life offers insights in how an individual can be part of a bigger system. “Mushrooms can change our minds, heal our bodies and even help us avoid environmental disaster; they are metabolic masters, earth-makers and key players in most of nature's processes.” (See Merlin Sheldrake’s Entangled Life). Mushrooms can also help us to realize the connections between the multiple crises and opportunities current in humanity, but above all they may help us to recognize connections among and within us.

We turn the mushroom foraging into a partnering with nature. A dance in which we
experience the mushrooms as “companion species”, to speak with Donna Haraway. Biodiversity also means diversity of movement and by means of improvised scores we might create spontaneous works of art - comparable to the popping up of a collection of mushroom fruiting bodies in a forest.

One field trip will take us into one of the medieval towns in the vicinity and enjoy the Italian dolce vita.

Fun(gi) Field Trips are included when you sign up for Flow into Ease!
