Steeped in history, the original house dates back over 400 years and has been thoughtfully extended over time. With over 650 square meters of space, our estate offers cozy bedrooms, beautiful apartments, and a stunning large swimming pool with breathtaking views.
Surrounded by 88 hectares of oak forests, pastures, and groves, Tenuta di Poggiolame offers complete privacy and tranquility. We find ourselves within the embrace of three prehistoric stone circles, bearing witness to a rich cultural past.
Explore the walking tracks on our property, or venture out for excellent hiking and mountain biking experiences in the area. Alternatively, enjoy time by the pool or at the little brooks and water ponds.
Here, in the transition zone between the Mediterranean and subalpine climate, you'll discover a diverse array of plants and animals. Situated within oak forests, encounter the elusive traces of wolves, delight in the symphony of cuckoos, owls, and hoopoes, and marvel at the beauty of butterflies, fireflies, porcupines, and lizards. Our location in the woods is situated at an elevation of 600 meters above sea level and provides us with an agreeable climate in summer. Ventilators are available (no air conditioning).
Private transportation is recommended for excursions, allowing you the flexibility to explore the surrounding area at your own pace. However, upon arrangement prior arrival, we can organize excursions for you.
Access to Tenuta di Poggiolame is via a 1.3 km unpaved private driveway, easily suitable for standard cars.
The nearest mini market (alimentari) is located 5 km away, along with a gas station, post office, pharmacy, bar, and pizzeria. The next supermarket is in Fabro.

How to reach us
Train travel
There are night train connections from Vienna and Munich to Florence, where you can transfer to local trains heading to Fabro-Ficulle.
Air travel
Perugia Airport is approximately one hour away, while Rome and Florence airports are around two hours away by car. Train connections from Rome and Florence airports to Fabro-Ficulle are also available, and we are more than happy to arrange pickups from the airports or Fabro-Ficulle upon request. We can help you organize shuttles from all airports.
Car
We are only 20 minutes away from the main motorway A1, exit Fabro.
